PRESS RELEASE For Immediate Release: January 04, 2019 Contact: Cliff Munson, CEO Siskiyou Golden Fair seeks Clubs for 2019 Flower Bed Competition YREKA- The Siskiyou Golden Fair is seeking clubs and organizations that have a green thumb or two for the annual Flower Garden Competition. “This competition adds so much color and beauty to the annual fair” stated Cliff Munson, CEO, “We encourage groups and organizations in Siskiyou County to sign up and add a happy splash of color to this year’s fair August 7-11 celebrating 160 years since the first fair in Siskiyou County.” Clubs must be “official” clubs and can have either adult or youth membership or both. Entry forms, guidelines and rules are available now at the Siskiyou Golden Fairgrounds or online at www.sisqfair and must be returned by March 15, 2019. The competition beds must be planted between May 13thand June 28, 2019 to be eligible for the first through 3rdcash prizes for both large and small gardens. Late planted beds will not be eligible for prize money. The competition will require some weeding and flower bed care between planting and the fair. Watering is done by fair staff. “We have eight gardens available for this annual competition so get your entry in quick,” stated Munson, “this is a first come first served contest”.
