The city of Yreka is located 660 miles north of Los Angeles and 320 miles north of San Francisco.It lies 333 miles south of Portland, 214 miles south of Eugene and is just 22 miles south of the Oregon California border.At an elevation of 2600 feet, the City of Yreka covers 12 square miles.

To set-up service, you must go to City Hall at 701 Fourth Street with picture identification. There will be a $25 set-up fee. Water mains range in size from 8 to 24 inches.

IX. GOVERNMENT FACILITIES

C. The Yreka Fire Department is strictly volunteer and consists of a 28 member crew operating 5 pumps, 1 aerial unit and 1 utility vehicle..

All property - residential, commercial, and industrial - is appraised at full market value as it existed on March 1, 1975 with increases limited to a maximum of 2% annually.
